Rampage Alum Sydney Harris Makes History On and Off the Ice

The Colorado Rampage is proud to spotlight the incredible accomplishments of alumna Sydney Harris, whose journey through hockey continues to break barriers and set new standards in the game.

After developing through the Rampage program, Sydney went on to play five years at Elmira College, where she not only excelled on the ice but also earned the honor of being named team captain—a testament to her leadership and dedication.

Following her collegiate career, Sydney became part of the NHL’s officiating development program, continuing her commitment to hockey in a groundbreaking new role. She has since gone on to officiate across the highest levels of the sport, including:

- NCAA Hockey

- The AHL (American Hockey League)

- PWHL (Professional Women's Hockey League)

And most notably, becoming the first female referee in ECHL history

Sydney’s rise through the officiating world represents not only her personal determination and talent but also a significant step forward for women in professional hockey.

We’re honored to have been a part of her early journey and incredibly proud of all she’s achieved. Sydney continues to pave the way for the next generation, both on and off the ice.

Congratulations, Sydney
